About Us

About Us.

Caring, Learning and Growing.

The Ark Preschool is a committee run preschool. The happiness and welfare of our children is paramount to everything we do. We have a spacious centre and our latest outdoor addition is our Allotment where the children have the opportunity to learn about planting growing and eating the food they have grown. As well as our allotment we have a garden we call the wonder garden where children can run around freely and safely while learning about nature, our garden has a sensory area where children can touch, taste, hear smell and see sensory plants with adult support. We love to share God's love and gifts in a safe and open environment. Although we have links to the local church, we are a fully inclusive preschool and we foster a spirit of open-mindedness and diversity.
We are proud to have a GOOD Ofted report, making us eligible for Government funding for 2,3&4 year olds. We currently offer 15 hours universal funding and 30 hours extended funding.
All our staff are qualified to Level 3 in Childcare and our Deputy Manager holds a degree in Early Years Education. We have a fully qualified INCCO on site at every session. Our chef is qualified to Level 4 and cooks freshly prepared meals on the premeises daily.
Our curriculum is based on Children’s individual interests and fascinations, supporting their learning and development through self chosen and small group activities.

When you join our preschool family
